This is the fifth in a six event series. Those running for series points will need to do at least 4 events in a single class to qualify for the year end championships. Single event trophies are also handed out.
Spectating is free; competition is $35 for current SCCA members and $45 for non-members. The entry cap is 100, as we need to be off the lot by 3PM since there is a baseball game that evening.

Chris Forsberg was leading the points race going into Round 6 and some consistency would lock it down for him but after his car was damaged, Forsberg will need to advance into the Top 16 and beyond in the final round to seal it up a title for 2009. In the end, it was Stephan Vernier in the Cooper Tires/Crawford Subaru Sti taking his first ever Formula D win over Ken Gushi in the RS*R Scion tC.

Draggin Trucks Nationals

This show was presented by DropJaw, Drop'em Wear's National Draggers Association, and the Rockingham Dragway. There were classes for all kinds of trucks--Minis, lifted, SUVs, rat rods, vintage, Pro Street, hot rod--and the field was packed. NGIVettes/Kewlrides has come up with a great idea for a "non-event" called Kewlrides Chillin'. Miller’s Ale House is the location so if you need a snack, something to drink they are right there.
This gathering begins in August on the 16th (3rd Sunday of the month). There is a flyer on NGIV that can be downloaded, hope to see you guys there at some point during the gathering.
